Reviews for The Ghost of the North
Vallavarayan chapter 18 . 8/25
loved this fic. Would have liked to see the reaction of some people who learnt what could have happened though. no reason to burn all that- history- even something that did not happen- can still be used to teach the future what not to do.
And from the second you used ghost to introduce the ghost of the north, i felt that it could end up being jon.
jessicanightmarewolf chapter 18 . 7/17
Dude... i got literal chills reading the last journal entry. I mean i always thought it was Jon since... well who else could it be?
Great story. I enjoyed your talented writing very much
Marnold15265 chapter 18 . 6/18
This is absolutly brilliant i was theorizing who was the ghost and i came down to jon, bran the builder or tyrion cause of that mismatched eyes hint thing? Anyways it was a great read and I would rank this very high. Love how you covered all differnt points in history
Wiwerse chapter 18 . 5/6
well damn
Guest chapter 18 . 4/13
Nice job. It was an enjoyable read.
Guest chapter 18 . 3/14
Satisfying. This is a great story if you never watch/read the series to know the background of the story and onward to the present. Nicely done!
Puffgirl1952 the 2nd chapter 18 . 2/18
I like this version; it combines the WHOLE series in one and is better than the original...Have you ever tried posting this on Archive of Our Own? This is a GREAT Alternate Universe story!
j.a.b.nijenhuis chapter 13 . 1/22
hahahahaha, what a great and awesome prank! smart way to smash 2 flies at once, the wall and the nobles.
j.a.b.nijenhuis chapter 12 . 1/22
good chapter this! although, I am puzzeld why you keep Balon fucking Grejoy alive and ruling, that has never made sense to me. I mean, the man surrendered not when his fleet was smashed, not when the other islands where taken, not when lordsport was burned, not even when his castle was put under siege, but only after Pyke had been taken. He had no power left to negotiate with, he should have been severly punished! After all, als the mongols thaught, utterly destroy those who resist and be kind to those who do not and you will conquer much quicker.
andjelija.nenic chapter 9 . 1/19

Neulach chapter 18 . 10/30/2019
I’m not sure if you still read comments on a story you finished 5 years ago but when I saw some of the awful things others have left in the reviews I wanted to write something nice.

This story was great. I especially liked that you started all the way back with the conquest. It adds more weight to the powerful, almost god like character you were creating with the Ghost that he was involved in history. It also allowed you to explore a part of asoiaf lore that others tend to avoid in fic, which is a good thing it’s different, it’s fresh!

This tale was a good length - I don’t want pages of detail about ever little thing - I’d much prefer to read the action or in the case of the last chapter the consequences!

I’m not so good at writing reviews but I just wanted you (and anyone who might be reading the reviews wandering if they should read this!) to know that I throughly enjoyed this story and that it stands out as unique among the many hordes of fanfic!
Ilireanwri chapter 8 . 9/26/2019
Isn't it hinted that Melisandre is a lot older? like several 100 years old? Which doesn't make this any less disturbing, quite the oposite actually...
HartleySkarsgard chapter 18 . 6/28/2019
Woah this was intense. I was wondering who ghost was and you did not disappoint! Thanks for the amazing read :)
stylo1 chapter 15 . 6/11/2019
what the fuck, you spend the first 6 chapter on some nonsencial background that could be summed up to the targaryans listen to a messenger from the gods and despite all this the only difference he made was a stolen dragon and the prevention of the events that caused roberts rebelion. oh but despite this due to the burning of kingslanding more ppl died than in canon did with the war of the 5 kings.
then you start skipping just about any important part of the story, mostly what happend to the wildlings and just wrap up the story.
damn was that a major let down, i wasnt to fond of your plot but kept reading cause your writing is good and i was hoping for better events during the long night, to bad it ended like this
stylo1 chapter 13 . 6/11/2019
the burning of kings landing is hardly mentioned, its not like half a million ppl died. then its suddenly rebuild while the first time took some 30 years.
and he should have made lord harlaw the new ruler of the iron island and just kill balon
