LOVED the direction you took Kirk and Bones with what your friend started. I honestly, truly enjoy this look at "What if...?" It is so easy to imagine Chris Pine and Karl Urban in their roles, bringing so much more depth and life to the characters that we've gotten to see in the movies. Looking forward to even more.

Man, this chapter has me in tears.

Exciting chapter! Scary - but exciting! Those cloud sharks remind me of the creatures from the movie Pitch Black.

Btw, I want to congratulate you on your creativity. Coming up with all the different things the crew sees, and some of the new alien crewmembers you've come up with. Very well done!

I have to say it... I love, love, love Kirk in this chapter. You are doing such a fantastic job with this new version of him. It's terrible that he had to endure such a tragedy as a sexual assault and then the insensitive betrayal of his crew in order to finally be less arrogant and self-centered, but it's good he had his eyes opened before it was too late. I really do love your development of his character.

I just found this series today and this story was WONDERFUL! So is the series so far!. It is so good to see Kirk recovering after such a horrific experience - nit just being raped, but also being betrayed and ignored.

Off to read the other stories as well.

I hope someday. Kirk can face the crew of the Enterprise - especially the Senior and Bridge crew - and give them a right royal LAMBASTING. They need to understand and accept just how much they hurt him and what their actions have cost them. They need to understand how they will never ever get to serve with him or under him again. Any and all applications to serve on any ship that he is serving on, will be rejected. They also need to understand that while he may eventually forgive them, he will never ever FORGET!

Again, a Great series.

All I can say for you People on the Enterprise is - Serves you right - for being so arrogant, for not listening, and no Chekov, HE will NEVER forgive you.

Good for other Starfleet members turning down assignments to the Enterprise. NOONE wants to work with a crew that is KNOWN to have betrayed and back-stabbed their Captain. Who knows who the original crew will betray and back-stab next?
