Oh my. It has been a while since you've updated and I am glad for the pause. The beginning of the story dictated the way it was going to end. I remember that there were chapters which made me hope that I misunderstood the direction this was heading in. I wanted much for them to be together and find their place. I was happy to see the update and then I saw that the story was complete. I couldn't read it at first. I knew it was the end - in more ways than one. When I was ready, I read it. My heart broke at her death and again at his. But I am very happy with the way you ended the story.
