Admitedly, I was hoping to see an ending where Dimitri and Anastasia stay in Paris, and she becomes an "Anna Anderson" that is in fact the lost Grand Duchess and is posthumously recognized as such when the family's grave is found

So much love for this story, it's a bittersweet ending.
you beautifully blended history and the fairytale version together to create the perfect romance. As much as I loved the movie from 1997 it's nice to find a story that allows you to pretend there may have been a chance Anastasia survived. Its been a long time since I read something without wishing the author had written differently.

It was a nice surprise to see a new chapter from you this morning, but it was a bit depressing to read the Romanov execution once again, and seeing Dimitri fall this time. My hope for a happy ending for everyone was once again crushed
