i think you made the characters more humane than they are on the show and that's a good thing.

Okay this story was really good and the mix of new characters with the movie plot was impressive.

Just 2 things:

1-I think the stories needs more romance between Ash and Misty.
2-I think the stories needs really more conversations between Ash and Ria.

Just one isnt a legendary Pokemon.

Still loving this. Their characters are spot on, the interactions are perfect, and the humour is on point.

And there goes another one. Wow, each story just gets even better, and the more I get into this saga, the more I love it. I'm just hoping the pattern of awesomeness keeps going up and up.

This was a great adaptation of Rise of Darkrai. I had a feeling you were going to somehow bring Misty into the fold given what you did with the last two movies, but I did not expect May to be included as well. It makes sense given the gang was there so Dawn could compete in a contest.

As much as Ash is meant to be the Chosen One, Misty and Dawn were the ones that saved the day this time even if Ash's healing of Palkia helped.

Alberto is a creep both here and the canon movie, so it was a bit catharic to see May deliver a smackdown on him. Do NOT insult a baby Legendary when its human mother is standing right in front of you.

I liked the pacing of the story, and the extended bit of Ash being trapped in nightmares, allowing us to step outside of Ash's focus for a moment to see how everyone else is handling the occurrence.

Very well done.

Your running gag of people not believing that Ash has a girlfriend is one of my favorite things about this series.

I've always liked your beat on Ash and Misty's relationship, and I'm enjoying it even more on this re-read. I especially like how sarcastic they can get with one another, and how Misty reacts to Ash being brave/stupid.

The way you reorganized the plot here, I found the conflict between the Legendaries much easier to follow than when I actually watched the movie. And I was very pleased with your decision to give Ash and friends much more agency in figuring out how to save the day. YMMV, but the CotDs being de facto protagonists while Ash follows along and jumps in to fix things at the end is one of my big issues with the pokefilms and the Sinnoh trilogy in particular.

I understand your reasons for building up May's role and giving her a battle with Alberto, and it was nicely done. I have to admit to feeling a bit ambivalent over pushing Alberto in a slightly darker direction, as I was tremendously entertained by him in the film.

The tease at the very end for the next one was a nice touch.

Great ending:) I am going to read you next story soon. I suppose it is too late for suggestions, but I suggest having Team Rocket in maybe some of your future stories. They are my favorite part of the anime (as you surely already know) and they do play a role in the movies. Just an idea, it is always up to you what you want to write.

Ash's little flashback was cute. I agree that Pokeshipping is my favorite, but I still like other characters. My favorites are in team rocket, but I love all the Pokegirls, especially Misty, May, and some of the minor girls like Misty's sister, Sakura, Bianca, and Cynthia. I think all of Ash's friends have something to add to the show, and I love when people write some videogame characters into their stories too.

Darkrai is one of my favorite legendaries. Not sure why, I suppose because it is unique, and kind of evil.
