This needs to be a third and fourth season series.

The big thing that strikes about me about this story - besides how freaking awesome it is! - relates to how Kate and Rick slowly echo the meaning of Rick's text to Kate, but emotionally. The discussions about how each of them changed their names as part of shifting toward what seems to be the mystical "happy medium" - Kate moving from debutante to detective, Rick shifting from actress' son to successful author, the moment Kate sees a glimpse under Rick's armour when she compliments him about being a good father, the revelation that Rick heard Ryan and Espo's comments about Rick Castle/rich asshole and Kate apologizing without saying the words directly...trading war stories and matching bets until someone calls the "hand" in play.
