Now that I've finished all that's been written so far (and likely ever will be written), it's really good.

I could've done without the whole stupid Hermione plot though. I have nothing against Harmony, it's actually one of my favorite pairings; but I'm not interested in reading a shabbily thrown together Harmony plotline in a story focusing on another pairing that seems to only exist to have a pregnancy scare plot line later on.

I’ve always found the allowance of Hagrid’s habits odd. Well intentioned or not, the dude happily planned on breeding dragons, which is completely illegal and in an active school, no less. He allows an entire nest of acromantula to grow in the forest, again at the school. He took part in kidnapping Harry from Godric’s Hollow, ignoring the law again (something Dumbledore is also guilty of doing whenever it suits him). He uses magic which he’s not allowed to do because he was expelled, framed or not. Not to mention, as Luna said, illegally crossing breeds to create dangerous animals and then having students (including third years, who are in their first CoMC class) to interact with said animals, a job that should be left to the professionals to figure out everything about them.

Harry breaks rules and laws, but you notice it’s only stupid rules like curfew (which only risks hurting him; not others) or to do something objectively good. Hagrid does things because he’s an absolute fuck wit with no sense of responsibility. Being a nice person doesn’t absolve you from the consequences of your actions.
