What if "his Morty" was the evil Morty? Mad at Rick for allowing his Summer to die?

Really great story, I did indeed sniffle when poor little Summer died in such terrible pain. I don't really think this'll turn out to be canon, but I'll admit, it's still plausible. Awesome work

This is adorable!

This story hit to close to home. Being raised by parents who fight all the time. I feel just like Summer even in the tv show at times. I also have a little brother, and it's just us two. A bit weird that it hits close to home, but I really liked this story. Wished he was able to get his Morty back. To have the same grand daughter. I guess its a happy ending. Really liked the story tho.

Didn't you say the chip was to finish his time traveling machine?! He has the damn chip! You could have Rick travel back in time to stop himself from ever letting Summer have a second adventure!

I have to say this is the best Rick and Morty story I have ever read! I really like the concept of Rick choosing Summer first but then after she died, chose Morty as his companion. It definitely does explain why he doesn't like to bring "chicks" along his adventures. I also really love how you tied everything together! :)

Fucking hell this was an emotional ass rollercoaster! So many feels GODDAMN AH THE FEELS, THE TEARS, FUCKING SHIT. Here I was thinking this would be cute and just Rick and Summer adventures, but no, we gotta have so stupid angst plot that is screwing with my hormones and ugh SUMMER WHYYYY. FOR ME TO HAVE THIS VIOLENT OF A REACTION JFC! Good job on crushing my heart!

I really like the idea that Rick chose Summer first but then after she died, chose Morty. I love all of them except Jerry, and this makes it clear that Rick loves her and isn't neglecting her like it seems in the show. They were such a good pair in Something Ricked This Way Comes. I wish we could see an episode of Rick and Summer, and while we're at it, Rick and Beth flashback.

Dang it, I thought this would be fluffy and cute. Instead I got feels. But it was well-written as well as heartwrenching, and I enjoyed it tremendously. I think it'd also fit nicely into canon as well! A fic, thanks for a great read!

I haven't been in the 'Rick and Morty' fandom long, love the show though, but I've made my decision. This has been the best one I've read so far.
The scene with Beth was painful enough to feel through the fic, I applaud you.
