Dang. I have no idea what I would have done in Rick's place but I'm glad he made the choice to save Billy's life even if it meant crossing the line.

I still see Rick as the new guy but with fics like this one, I can see just how much potential he has. I believe it was Billy that said Rick was better than the three of them put together and it's stuff like this that makes me believe it. Great job!

I greatly enjoyed this story, even though some of the subject matter isn't what a person really should enjoy. I always shake my head when I read or hear someone stating that they'd NEVER do something, or that if they were in X situation, they'd have done something different. No matter how much we might think we'd do or not do, any specific thing, until we're actually in that position to do it, or not do it, we don't really know for certain what will happen. You captured this difference between theory and reality so well with how Rick thought and behaved.
