Love your stories. I love how you're able to crawl into a character, and respectfully show their inner workings. Not sure if that makes sense... What I mean is, it feels like you give us a glimpse of what the characters are thinking or feeling, without making it feel like you're putting them on display or splashing it all over the front page of the news paper. (Hope that made sense.)

This is a poignant piece, just right for illustrating the differences John went through in the three-year Hiatus. I love the way you write him.

I'd never noticed how similar those two sentences, and situations, were, but now I have, I don't think I'll ever be able to forget. They are just so similar, only this time, the suicide never happened.
