This is such an impressive story, written with a talented hand and mind. Although it’s almost 18 months since it was updated, I genuinely hope you are able to return to it. I can see this with a few small changes as something to be published.

I love that McCoy spread out the injured. You're so very good at coming up with believable details.

By my count we now have three anonymous male POV characters that have appeared - the alien be who tricked the Pasherini in the beginning. The unknown person who betrayed the Vulcan movements to the P a chapter or but so ago. And then now a third who is being recalled to service. I find this a little confusing. Readers only have so much working memory and you're calling on a lot of it... That said, I'm very interested in who these people are.

Things certainly seems very grim! Spock accused of treason, Kirk in captivity, so many Federation ships destroyed. And I have a hard time believing that Starfleet will forgive the Vulcan fleet disappearing on them... Well, I assume that things can only get better for our protagonists, so there's that... :). I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

I am confused about a lot of threads in this story, which is clearly a part of the plan - we find out a little more each chapter. But there are so many now that I think I'm losing track of them...
