This always get me emotions going no matter how many times I read it. It’s so raw and I love every bit of Embry and Chantes story. So wish the author would come back to update one day.

I really wished this story was completed. It has so much potential and beautiful writing. Gonna still have hope that it will be updated!

This is definitely one of the best twilight/ embry stories ever. Theres probably only 3 others that are just as good. But this is insanely good and it’s so sad it hasn’t been continued which is crazy cause I still remember opening to this chapter which was yeaaars ago. Hard to believe but I hope author comes back to this! bagofgarbage really said it best in their review for sure. I hope so bad that author comes back to this cause this is better than majority of YA novels that get published honestly an amazing story!

This is honestly one of my favorite Twilight fics I’ve ever read. Too few of these stories try to really dig in to expanding the supernatural side of the series lore, but this one does, giving us an entire new race of shifters. Which, in my opinion is something you don’t see enough of. This is a world with vampire royalty and spirit warriors running around, you can’t expect me to believe that they’re the ONLY supernatural creatures out there!

The characters are also handled very well. The writing is extremely introspective, and our protagonists are dealing with some very dark themes and problems. Seeing how each character reacts to these problems is fascinating. Embry struggles with his own self loathing and the powerful urges of the wolf, Jacob tries to keep his head above water, juggling his responsibilities, the needs of his pack, and his internal issues, and it’s all very well done. If there was anything I would complain about, it would be that I kinda wish we got to see the Pack (especially Embry) from Chanté’s point of view. But I understand that would probably be hard, because according to Embry, she doesn’t actually think in words.

This story doesn’t have a lot of action in it, but it’s still intense, with rampant emotions and drama at every turn. I don’t know if you’ll see this review, heck, I don’t even know if you’re still active on this website, but I still feel like you should know that you’ve made something special with this story, and even after reading it multiple times, I keep coming back. You did good.

I adore this story. I’ve read it time and again and I am always sad when I reach the end. Well done. I hope you revisit it someday

I found this fic in 2015 because I was completely in love with your other story, Be Like Water, and wanted to read more of your works. I come back and reread basically your whole bibliography because all your works are just that good ahaha. I always check to see if you’ve updated The Quiet Ones and I know it’s unlikely since it’s been 4 years already but god, it’s a marvellous piece of fiction. I love your portrayal of Embry, the pack, it takes from canon but expands it into a world so much more exhilarating than I ever hoped. I’m not sure how to end this but if you actually end up reading this review just know I’m a loyal reader anticipating more! And even if you don’t finish, what you have written here exceeds what I ever thought possible. You’ve created a beautiful and captivating world/story! Cheers!

Love how you've pictured Embry, Paul, Sam and Jacob. So glad that Embry has found Sweetheart. The scene with the Cullens killing the deer herd was chilling and cruel. This last chapter brought tears for Embry's life with his Mother. Hopefully things will be better for Embry. I'm especially glad that Sam now knows they are brothers. Thanks for sharing your story.
