WondersWomans chapter 4 . 1/23/2018
Wow! This is beautifully written, very poetic but realistic in terms of the characters. Love the incorperation of the passage as it certainly does suit Aramis. Love the anguish and pain shown, just adore this fic. Thank you for sharing.
Tempest's Rain chapter 4 . 3/28/2017
That was really good. I liked the way the addressed the conflict going o for Athos. Aramis' resolution was also interesting and the confrontation with the escaped prisoner was done really well. Porthos and d'Artagnan's reactions to the events were also quite good.
Issai chapter 4 . 3/10/2016
Genious! I loved Aramis grief and recklessness. His talk with Athos was so heartbreaking! Truly beautiful. You've captured boys so lovely. Especially d'Artagnan who did not understand the implication of whole situation at the beginning.
Great! Thank you for sharing!
GingietheSnap chapter 4 . 1/18/2016
Your story was magnificent and your understanding of the characters is beyond impressive.

Poor Aramis. He feels too deeply and it does seem that he is cursed in love and life. He is a man who comes alive when fighting and loving and believes in a merciful God with all his heart. Yet, he can never catch a break.

What really struck me in your story was Athos's realization that Aramis is "the one left to tell the tale." That really hit me and made me realize the awful position Aramis found himself in after Savoy and the heavy, heavy burden of responsibility.
LovinJackson chapter 4 . 3/17/2015
As an Aramis girl, I may be a little obsessed with the whole Savoy thing, the episode and the way Santi played Aramis in this episode made me ache for him and his trauma. It would be hard for someone to walk away some a massacre like that and not have it trouble them ... for a long time. And he's such a feeling guy. He's stong but he feels things deeply and it was like he felt so alone in that episode wrestling with demons that no-one could really understand. The boys could sympathise but they couldnt really know ... not really. So I LOVE reading really well thought out and written stories and the fact that you seem to write these guys so in character just makes this all the more awesome. I love it. God, I love emotional and mental angst as much as I do the hurt!Comfort ... love it. Thank you for this one. I could ramble all day, except I cant because i am at work and shouldnt technically be writing this now LOL

M. Carwright chapter 2 . 3/6/2015

M. Carwright chapter 1 . 3/6/2015

wotumba1 chapter 4 . 1/19/2015

Aggie2011 chapter 4 . 1/3/2015
I loved this. For as much as the show showed Aramis' struggle throughout we didn't get to see the aftermath, which I imagine was quite like what you wrote. Well done!
Cognizance chapter 4 . 12/31/2014
I've read this multiple times now. I come looking for it each time I've watched episode 4 - or even part of episode 4 - again. I can't remember if I've ever told you how much I love it. It's very visual, and the tone of it fits so effortlessly with the tone of the show - and especially the tone of the episode - that it's just become part of it to me. There are parts of it I visually "see" as being part of the episode. Like, when I'm remembering parts of the episode, I see parts of your fic being acted out, like my brain just effortlessly inserted certain images and scenes that I swear I remember them from the episode, but then when I watch the episode and I'm like, 'Oh yeah, we didn't get the scene with Treville telling the other Musketeers to leave the armory. We didn't see Athos and the others come back to the garrison to be worried by the chaos they found there. And all of this rambling is just to say that you must have done pretty darn good with your fic to have it stick with me like that. Until I come back and read this again. Thank you.
