Perfect reading on Valentine's day too I suppose :p I like how you've captured the essence of any true epic story... that of adversity and hardship being overcome in the end. Your ending sentence is poetic and ensnares that kernel of truth - every person longs for such epic-ness in their own hearts. May not admit such... but, why else does humanity flock to see and read such adventures? Well done! "I'm not saying I want to go back to that and, ..., I'm not going to throw the experience away." - well put. I can understand that sentiment quite well! ..."You are my sun and stars. You are the moon and the east wind. You are the cause and effect, the pull of the tides on the moon and the inexorable pull of gravity. You are the one who changed me. Shaking, he moaned, "You are mine and I am yours." - can almost hear that deep baritone myself as you pen these words. Excellent. "Through adversity, struggle and heartbreak, they had become something unbreakable. Their spirits might be a little tarnished but the fire had never completely destroyed them; it had only forged them, transmuted into something stronger." - perfect wrap up and summary! |

Wiggins shivered" - love the analogy, creative and effective! "Sherlock answered by pulling John into a kiss once more, broken only by Lestrade appearing at the door. "Did we miss anything?"" -haha! perfect theatrical timing on Lestrade's part :) Great ending comment and expression at the end... nicely placed smidgeon of humour in the midst of some tragedy and goodbye. |
