Did a double take this morning when I saw this story had an update. Great to have you getting back into it.

For the chapter itself, this was a very big moment and, considering the amount of turmoil they've gone through so far, a very tragic one indeed. Garry's decision to break the cycle out of a desire to stop the madness once and for all was a powerful image.

That said, I do feel that it was a bit rushed. There isn't all that much detail given, and the whole thing goes by rather quickly. Given the author's note, I believe you're already aware of this though.

Anyway, very cool update and I'm glad that you're writing for Ib again.

I've re-read this chapter three times now, and I have to say that I'm very impressed by the sheer amount of character development you managed to fit in such a short amount of space. The changes to the sketchbook are nothing short of inspired. They tell a miniature story of Gary's subconscious in and of themselves without actually coming out and saying anything.

Choosing to forget instead of remember. It took me a while to figure out why I kept coming back to that paragraph, but now I think I understand. There's no attempt to justify or rationalize it. It's simply a tragic choice made in a very human way. Moments like this are the kind of thing that separate an all right fanfiction from a really good one in my opinion.

The only thing that struck me as a bit strange was the fact that Ib immediately made the jump from 'she's not here' to 'she's dead'. It isn't a big problem or anything, but the average person doesn't jump to a conclusion quite so drastic as that.

Great chapter as usual. I've got my fingers crossed hoping that it works out for the best somehow.

Finally! FINALLY! An Ib story that doesn't make Mary seem like a spoilt brat who deserves to die! I agree with you, creepy doll!

That's a cool twist. Guertena gets surprisingly little attention considering how important he is to Ib's story-line.

Sadly I'm a bit strapped for time at the moment, so I'll have to cut this review short. Suffice to say that you've got me very interested to see how he fits into all this, as well as how the conflict between the three turns out.

This is beautiful story, dark yet perfectly captures the feel and setting of the game. I love how you capture the essence of the dolls and other artworks here as well!
I think just a few scenes here were a little rushed and lack some detail, but none the less it's great all together! I can defiantly tell you have a talent with writing, keep up the great work!
