Pls, release a new chapter. It has been years

Where has this been my whole life? I was looking for something to calm my impatience for Mulan upcoming movie and found gold somehow.
I love how real your characters feel. Like Mulan trying to run away the first opportunity she's got instead of recurring to useless verbal sparring like similar stories tend to do. How cunning and resourceful she can be when pushed to it, fooling even warlords like Shan Yu.
She was a disadvantage from the start and the outcome from her capture was an horrific... traumatic event. But she somehow came out stronger from it. Thanks to Alba, also such a good character.
Something I would really enjoy to see is for Mulan to have a panic attack if Shan Yu tries to force himself on her and him still trying to go along with it only to discover that he can't get exited seeing her scared. That he will start seeing her as a person and acknowledging her pain, but she'll still reject him (cause seriously, how the hell do you forgive something like that?).
They ending up togheter seems like such an impossibility, though. Making Mulan fall in love with him is nearly imposible... and for all Shan Yu doesn't think he cares about that eventually he may start expecting that from her. That the tenderness she shows others is something she can display for him too. Especially as the persona of the soldier of the mountains who nearly defeated him begins to shape in a strong willed girl he enjoys being around.
I know she can't kill him, but I hope that she'll eventually be free. Maybe disappear forever and follow the path she chooses instead of what "destiny" imposed on her. Set Shan Yu in the right path and dissapear, with her friends of course.
And... It's been a year now. I hope you can continue it someday. It'll be shame never to know the end of the story. If not, then thank you for such a good work.

Hi, I want to tell you that I loved your story but I did not expect what had happened terrible what Shan Yu dod about China and now Mulan is in a serious problem but she will not have to make another mistake, she could save China although there would be possibilities... But perhaps Shan Yu could tell him that he feels something for her or it would not be necessary, in any case Mulan already knows it but could not accept it despite the fact that he is almost going to die and remembering the ugly thing that happened.

And well I hope I can wait for another chapter because this is interesting greetings.

I'm kinda disappointed that you will no longer be writing more chapters, but I am super thankful that you did write what you did. Your writing style is absolutely beautiful and it flows well. Aside from the ... darker part of your fic I can truly say that this is one of my favorite story's on this website.

Wow. Love your story. Even though you keep saying it’s not a romance, I can see Mulan and Shang Yu coming to realization that they are stronger together rather than apart. Although I can totally understand why Mulan may never actually love Shang Yu (for good reason), I can totally see Shang Yu falling for her because she is truly his equal in every way. I love your plot line and the way you write the characters. It’s a very interesting story and I have a soft spot for this pairing. Thanks for posting it!
