| Light of the Eldar chapter 2 . 2/10/2018 I have to say that I honestly can't read anymore. While you are skilled in some areas of writing, your characterizations of everyone in the first two chapters are off. Elrond is not snappy or rude, and certainly not when he has a patient that needs tending. His demeanor is calm but firm as he relays orders. Legolas would never speak or ask about his armor as if he were an uneducated elfling. Especially not to his Ada. He would, instead, already be clad in the appropriate armor beforehand. I also don't think that armor is something Legolas would get that excited over. That and his thoughts throughout the chapter were OOC. Because of this language, it was hard to tell if he was an elfling or an adult. Over all, quite an out-of-character two chapters, but since this is so old, I do not know if your writing is improved. If it has, I hope you take my constructive words as a friendly nudge. If it hasn't then I hope you find what I said helpful. _LW |

I'm going back through all my favorites and I while I think I reviewed this when I first read it, I'm going to go ahead and review it again and say how much I adored all the whump and angst and all the interactions between the characters, how Legolas changed and grew, so many beautiful scenes and details, Thranduil trying to come to terms with what's happened...gah. Wonderful. I love it all. |
