This was so beautiful! You made me miss the good old days & a happy, cheerful Penny & her funny, heartwarming moments with Sheldon more than I already did. I want this Penny back. Well done! ;)

This story made me sad on so many levels that I don't think I can explain fully. I mean it was sweet and extremely well written, but the idea that Sheldon could have harbored a secret crush on Penny all these years, while interesting, is just mind boggling and disturbing to me. He never showed any interest in any woman until Amy (with the exception of Beverly, LOL), which is why everyone thought he was asexual. Nevertheless, his relationship with Penny was always fun, because to me it reminded me of siblings, squabbling, acrimonious at times, but always affectionate and loving, and that's what I loved about it! I personally could never see her as a mate for him, because she is just too completely different from him, and while I do believe opposites attract, I think the best partnerships in life, the ones that stand the test of time and last, are the ones where the two partners are kindred spirits who understand each other completely, which is why I believe he and Amy work so well together and have a bond that is unbreakable. The thought in this story that he believes that bond won't last, that it's doomed to fail, so that he can one day be with Penny, really disturbs me and makes my heart wrench. Nonetheless, I enjoyed your writing, as always, and even though I don't want to think about this scenario as ever being fully realized, I concede that the whole story was beautifully written, including the ending, as sad as it made me.

Nice. But of course Leonard or Amy ruined it for Shel & Penn. Ugh, they are not right. it should be Sheldon with Penny and not Leonard. As for Amy... squash her and Leonard together.

I became teary-eyed as I read Sheldon's realization of Penny's feelings for him. You are so talented! I look forward to more Shenny stories written by you! Great job!

This was lovely, and very in-character in my opinion.

Nice story. I miss our old friends too. I miss how Sheldon and Penny used to push each other and make each other grow. You can occasionally see a hint of that. But lazy writing has trapped both characters in a bad place. Both are better without the partners they've been saddled with. Leonard is terrified that any kind of success will take Penny away from him and unfortunately most of the audience wants them together. Amy is a controlling whiny girlfriend who is sucking the whimsy out of Sheldon, and both Sheldon and Penny are ill-served by their friends who prefer it if nothing ever changes.

So cute with an underlying hint of angst and awesomeness
