Never underestimate someone whose trying to protect what's precious to them.

I was there from the beginning. I was orchestrating it all. I was behind every decision that was made. I am the Black Man in the Forest. This is my Story "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne, told through the eyes of the Black Man in the Forest. I do not own "The Scarlet Letter".

In the end of The Scarlet Letter, it doesn't say what happens to Pearl in the end. This is what happened. One-shot This was a school project.

This is just a short fic told from the perspective of the infamous "Black Man" who lived in the forest and represented the devil from Nathaniel Hawthorne's book The Scarlet Letter.

Hester had another secret she never told anyone about- a small little journal, sewn from worn scraps of fabric and stuffed with faded yellow pages. In here she wrote her deepest thoughts. (I had to write this for school and figured I might as well post it.)

An Alternate version of the ending. The original ending left me feeling...unfulfilled. So I wrote this, hope ya'll enjoy the fruits of my labor.

What happens when: 1. Hester and Dimmesdale get drunk together? 2. Dimmesdale meets Chillingsworth and things get... interesting?

A assignment from English class I decided to post. Prompt: pretend you are Hester Prynne writing to the governor to ask him to consider letting pearl into the town's day school. You must keep to the nature of your character and include some evidence of the book. I any one wants to use this prompt let me know.

A small story I wrote for an English class, it takes place during Hawthorne's novel but goes a little deeper into the story that Pearl talks about of the accused witch Mistress Hibbins who was said to go out into the forest and meet with the mysterious Black Man and sign her name in his black book.
