[Modern AU, Thomas/Maven, Part 3]The city burned and Thomas is left with a broken heart. His friends are wanted criminals and the boy he loved is clearly not alright. With the city in clear unrest, he tries to settle in and survive. He hasn't anticipated Maven, though. Trust is a very thin line and a double-edged sword.

When Mare finds herself returning back to the castle where Cal rules as King, she finds a completely different world and environment surrounding her. From Cal's new mysterious fiancé to Maven's increased obsessions with her, she must find clarity amongst so much darkness. But, the most difficult question she must face, is to find her way back to the one she's destined to be with.

This is how I wish Red Queen would have happened. AU where Mare chooses Maven at the end of the first book.

But finding her means facing Maven for the last time. The estranged brothers exchange their final words as Maven's death looms nearer.

Set during War Storm, when the Lakelanders trade Maven off and he becomes Cal's prisoner. On the plane back to Montfort, Cal decides he needs answers. He confronts Maven by himself, speaking to his brother alone for the first time since the betrayal. Cal thinks he knows what to expect, but Maven is scared and angry and the conversation doesn't go as planned...

Basically this is the story of the Red Queen except with an added character. I own nothing, and all props go to Victoria Aveyard, for creating this world that I love so much!
