When back for senior year, Miles is reunited with his old friends. After school began, his roommate Chip "the Colonel" Martin, suddenly comes down with something serious (on top of already having lingering pneumonia) & Pudge can't get him to go to the hospital. Is it just the Colonel's natural stubbornness or is there another reason behind his persistance? (Not a Slash)

Takes place long before Culver Creek, back when the Colonel wasn't the Colonel yet, and he was just a young Chip, living in poverty and trying to survive his father just as much as his mother.

This is an alternate ending because no one wanted what happened to happen. I ship Pudge and Alaska so hard and it's very obvious here.
