I have been writing my whole life, and my writing style as of now is more formal since I'm very experienced with fantasy stories. When I betaread, I will first look at spelling, grammar, and flow of your story, but I will also try to look at what kind of mood the writer wants to put readers in and work to make the story the best it can be! I often like to make whatever revisions to a story I see fit while preserving the original style, but writers shouldn't be afraid to say if I'm changing it too much.

I am a native English speaker and thus have proficiency in English spelling and grammar. I am a character-driven writer who excels at perfecting internal conflict, character descriptions, character motivations and character personalities. I am excellent at crafting engaging dialogue between characters, whether it be funny or emotionally moving. I am great at world-building, especially with fantasy and science fiction inspired universes. I am very detail-oriented and am nit-picky with very little details in a story. I have practiced for a long time the art of starting and ending a chapter so that it has an "arc" to itself. I can write very formally, including formal dialogue.

I have trouble stretching out or writing long descriptions of settings, clothing, or scenery. I am detail-oriented and like chapters to be longer. I am awkward with romantic themes. I can write action scenes, but they are straight to the point and not drawn out for paragraphs and paragraphs. I can be very picky with details or dialogue. I prefer characters to be portrayed as accurately as possible and do not like when they are portrayed disrespectfully out of character.

I'm not really comfortable with reading romantic stories or stories that are overly dark. I like mostly lighthearted things! I'm experienced with fantasy, so I'll definitely beta anything "out of the ordinary."
