I am an easy going type of reader who learned English as his third language. Because my first two were Spanish and German, I have a very ample vocabulary where I tend to exploit the germanic/latin roots of English. My grammar is not always top notch, for I might mistake the rules of one language with the other, but I would say that English is the language I have developed the most over the years. It is the language I used in university as well as the language I use in every day /

With all that said, I find that grammar and vocabulary are secondary when it comes to great writing. The best writers are the ones who are able to convey emotions and submerge the reader into the worlds they create. For this reason, the extent of my services would be to point out any interruptions in the flow that would cause the reader to want to /

The highest paid writer of our time is JKR and I doubt anyone would dare call her a great writer. She is not. But what she is, is a great story teller. For that reason: let me hear your story.

I honestly feel that I am good at encouraging other writers find their voice. It is not enough to have a plot bunny and develop it, you have to invest your emotions in it, else the story will be boring. Organization is something that each writer has to find on their own, but I am pretty good at pointing out where the flow of a story has gone awry. I am good with delving into language mechanics, pointing out if a sentence is fragmented or running on. Most of all, I will support your writing and your style, keeping it your own.

Very rarely do I not finish a story that I have started to read even if it is trash and a waste of my time. For this reason, I am not as critical as I could be on certain aspects that others might find necessary. For me, it is the story that matters, not the grammar.

I prefer to read stories that explore new angles on old ideas. As of late, this means time travel, but anything with a sci-fi twist will get my full attention. Comedy/sarcasm is a must. I like odd pairings or no pairings at all. I am a big fan of the Harry Potter Universe, but have a very thorough knowledge to become a beta reader for marvel, hunger games, star wars, star trek, Twilight , Jules Verne, Sherlok Holmes, Doctor Who, among other universes. If you have a weird fandom with few beta readers... I will probably acquaintance myself with it for the sake of reading more and expanding my knowledge base

That's about it. I have nothing against gay pairings, I just don't like how littered the world of fandoms have become with bad writers who only want to pair up their favorite two male characters. The way I see it, if it is not cannon for the character to be gay, I will simply not read it. If the character is gay or at least ambiguous in cannon, then I will probably read the story. Sexual preference is something that is very innate and ingrained in who the character really is, so if you change the sexual preference, you are pretty much changing who the character is to begin with. I am not a purist on any other matter, but you have to draw the line somewhere. I also prefer asexual characters to remain asexual, for the complexity of their characters is usually stemmed from their lack of sexuality. Otherwise you end up with mary sue's and gary stu's
