I am a young college student with a love for writing and helping others improve their writing. I love to read anything, and enjoy a good plot. I will usually do two types of critiquing, one focusing on grammatical and technical errors, writing dos and don'ts. The second type is more of a commentary of my thoughts when reading specific passages. This can be very helpful, for example: If you want the reader to be at the edge of their seats, and I'm telling you it was funny you might want to reconsider the style.

At one time I was a forum moderator on an online teen forum. I recently had to give that up do too finals and other responsibilities. The forum, sort of a mentorship for young writers allowed me to develop my writing skills way beyond what I could have hoped for. I hope this will give me an opportunity to pass that on.

If you are asking me to give you positive and progressive feedback, I expect you to be open and closed minded at the same time. I give many comments and suggestions, but I don't expect you to take all of them. I will be completely honest about how I read your work, but others may have a different point of view. My comments are never meant to offend or belittle your writing, but to give you another perspective. If you disagree, that's fine with me. I will not be offended if you promise not to be.

I notice the little details of a story, and wording. I notice when sentences are awkwardly written, and can usually help make suggestions that will help. I am very unbiased towards happy vs. sad endings, and enjoy a good bitter sweet anytime.

I'm really good at finding plot holes and overlaps as well.

Sometimes I often base judgment on a story by the ending. If the climax seems to fall flat, I get very disappointed. I often view a story as a whole and not in individual parts. I also am usually very harsh on main characters, they often annoy me and I favor the minor characters more. (example: Frodo...)

I love any kind of writing (yes even essays), but I enjoy Sci-fi and Fantasy the most. Because I automatically think of books and movies as launching pads for my imagination, I enjoy fan-fiction from anything I know anything about. Everything is an opportunity for a story(your grandma sings to her plants? I have a story idea). As a result, if I know anything about what you're writing about, I will probably enjoy it.

Fanfiction that I don't know the original to. I can't judge your use of characters I don't know anything about. I am not too fond of Historical based stories (Civil War, ect.), but I have a few favorites.

I'm not big on extensive language, or drawn out 'mature' love scenes.

I also don't do Vampires. Twilight, Tru Blood, just don't ask :-)
