Hello! I'm Minako! I am willing to beta stories, long or short, from specific sections of the Anime/Manga section. I correct any spelling errors and work with grammar and sentence structure. I like to send the beta'd work back to the author with my changes/corrections in a different colour, so that the authors can see what I have done. I will add a comments section explaining the reasons for my chnages/alterations. I can work with British English and American English, as well as with authors who aren't 100% fluent in English or need additional help e.g. learning disabilities. I enjoy contact with the authors too! I have beta experience on this site, in the Fruits Basket section.

I believe that spelling, punctuation and grammar are my strengths. I can work quickly and efficiently, checking over the story if the author requires it before a certain posting deadline. I will work with characterisation issues and plot holes if requested.

I currently only want to betaread anime/manga stories, which limits my services. If I have no knowledge about the section the story is written for, I cannot spot any OOCness. Also, if my schedule is busy, then it takes me longer to send back corrected text.

I prefer to work with stories within a series I am familiar with. I accept slash and het pairings, and will work on Alternative Universe fictions, oneshots, and PWPs (within reason). All genres and ratings are welcomed.

The stories I'd rather not betaread are those that are written to make fun of the genre they are in, or that over-use sexual and taboo language. Also, if the story is written in 'chat speak', I am likely to gently decline it, sorry...
