I'm an aspiring writer working on my ability to edit stories. I always try to write to my fullest potential and I expect everyone to treat their subject with an equally earnest effort. Thus, my beta reading style is less about me going in and nitpicking at everything I disagree with and more about me reading your work and thoroughly trying to understand what kind of emotions/scenes you are trying to write. I will try to point all writers in the right direction and I believe your writing will improve as long as both of us spend an earnest effort in trying to improve their writing.

My specific strengths are heightening the impact of particular scenes. I am able to read and point out parts in the story that weaken the flow of your writing and then I'm able to give suggestions on what you can do to improve the piece. I am also skilled at reading the characterization of the characters and pointing out when their is a change in their personality or pointing out what writers could do to make them feel more consistent.

I believe my most glaring weakness as a writer is the consistency of my updates and the fact that I sometimes assume my reader is up to speed with my thought process. It is something I can better detect in other writers than I could detect in my own writing. I hope by continued exposure and forced productivity I will be able to correct and or better manage these mistakes.

On average I have the most experience with dramas and short stories when it comes to editing. However, I will be more than willing to at least try beta read any other story as long as it's in English.

My virgin soul is unable to take smut,erotica, and lemons particularly well. During those times I can probably only point when something sounds awkward. I apologize for my inability to be useful in this department.
