I believe that helping others is one of the best ways to help yourself. When beta-reading, I treat the author's work as if it were my own. And believe me, I try to make my work as professional and as well prepared as I can make it. |

I'm great at identifying when sentences don't flow correctly and need to be rephrased. I'm also great at word choice and vocabulary. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Nothing too overly notable here. I guess complicated grammar isn't my cup of tea. Other than that, sometimes my schedule sometimes changes unpredictably. (If that counts as a weakness) I'm not trying to sound perfect (because I'm not) but English has always been one of strong suits. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I absolutely crave non-canon pairings (usually), stories of betrayal, stories of vengeance, OC's with some actual depth, stories that are not afraid to kill-off characters (not that characters have to die). As for genres, I love romances, thrillers, and adventures, but there's nothing that I'll flat-out reject. br /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / I think my favorite type of story are ones where a member from a good side falls in love with a member from the bad or evil side and gives up their old ways just to be with the one they love.(but that's kinda specific) |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
-If an entire story is not understandable, I see it as a waste of time. If it's because English is not your first language, I'll cut you a lot more slack and try to help as much as I can, but I'm not a translator. br /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / -I don't do Male x Male pairings. I'm not homophobic or anything, but I'm just not into that kinda stuff; hopefully you /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / -Stories that the author knows (for certain) they wont /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / -Stories that look or sound like they were written by a 4th grader (EX: plot moving ridiculously fast, redundancy, lack of vocabulary, lack of an actual plot). |
