I am a grammar nazi as well as a very nitpicky beta-reader so if I meet a peculiar sentence and/or paragraph I usually read over it a couple times mentally and vocally to get a feel of it. I analyze and evaluate each and everything I read and overall have a particular sense of what is going on. Once I know the plot of a story, I read over the chapters and decide which information is necessary or excessive. I like to read stories of many different styles of writing- as long as the story has a semblance of proper structure, I can guarantee that I'll be open to it. However, incorrect spelling is a major pet peeve of mine and my blunt criticism may put off a lot of people. Because I like to absorb in what I'm reading (as weird as that sounds), I usually take a long time to read and critique. I also like to put thought into each of my reviews and criticism because I don't just want to say "Cool! Awes0me! WRITE MORE! 8D" so I take a lot of time. But along with constructive criticism, I like to give encouraging remarks. I feel good and want to write more when someone praises me, so I want to share that kind of feeling. :)

One of my strengths is characterization; depending on the character, I have an idea of what kind of person the character is and how s/he perceive things. As I have said in my profile, I have a good grip on grammar and sentence structure. I am also well-versed in spelling and in judging a chapter's readability.br /br /br /

I'm also open to any suggestions the author has - if you don't want to change anything or disagree with my judgment, I'll gladly listen to your reasons. I like having discussions from which both sides benefit. :D

I take a long time to beta. (｡_｡); I try not to, but sometimes my mind escapes me - especially when I'm reading a particularly thoughtful piece of work. I'll be honest: I am a very weird person - instead of being on the same page, I'll be on a different book. (*￣o￣*) I want to enjoy the piece as how the author intends his/her readers to enjoy it, so I will probably bug the author more than a couple of times to explain something to me.

I prefer to beta stories in the Humor, Romance, Drama, Horror, and Action genres are stories. I also prefer to beta stories in fandoms of which I am actually knowledgeable. :) I also prefer to beta stories that have pairings I support, mainly because I am a biased person, and I want to give the most objective criticism I can give.

I usually don't touch stories that have original characters paired with the main character(s) of the fandom. Definitely no Mary Sues or Gary Stus. Although I will betaread stories with pairings I won't support, my effort won't be as spirited and enthusiastic as it would be with the opposite.(￣-￣) I would like a warning of any explicit content (if only to act as previews to draw me in).
