I'm a BA Communication Arts graduate. Although I major in Speech Communication, I've also taken writing classes under the ComArts curriculum.

I took up Creative Writing, Playwriting, English Prose Styles, and Expository Writing. In these classes, I also underwent workshops (classmates and teacher critique works written by a member of the class) so I know how to offer constructive criticism that can actually help improve your story.

I also worked for a while as a Writing Consultant, which is like being a betareader for academic papers and essays (mostly). I can apply what I've learned in that experience to be effective as a betareader. ^_^

Grammar. I'm very particular with grammar. I'm not saying my grammar is perfect, but grammar is what I focus on in betareading. My default betareading is in grammar. I very rarely comment on plot or story flow, unless you state that you want me to consider that in betareading.

Also, I don't give harsh constructive criticisms. I'm usually very gentle in my wording. Unless I'm being careless or I want to be brief. ^_^ I don't want to dissuade any writers, because even I am too weak-willed to directly bash someone even if my blood is boiling. I believe in karma.

When it comes to structure, I have a hard time with consistency. It takes me extra time and effort to make the structure more compact and consistent (that goes for writing as well, not just betareading). That goes with transitions in between paragraphs. X_x

If you want me to include the editing of storyline/plot or comment on it, you have to tell me. Because I won't meddle in that area. I'll leave that liberty to the fic writer.

As long as the fics you want me to betaread are about the pairing/s I ship/tolerate, I will be willing to betaread. I'm okay with yaoi/yuri, shounen/shoujo ai, and lemon fics. If I'm not familiar with the show or anime/manga, I may consider whatever pairing.

If the pairing of the fic you want me to betaread is not who I ship/tolerate, I won't take it. Don't make me go up in flames. My judgment will be clouded. No matter how good your plot, If I loathe the pairing, the fic is not good enough for me to read.
