My name is Garet and am called TheEpicTales2, formerly TheEpicTales. I am nineteen high school dropout, but went through six years of honors in English, so I must have some skills as a writer and proofreader. So I am now accepting beta-reading requests. I will read entries as they appear and read them twice. Once is a casual skim to see if anything stands out and a second time with a more critical eye, looking for punctuation, grammar, or spelling errors. I don't really have any expectations from other writers aside from respecting my opinions and suggestions. Whether you follow my advice or not, is up to you.

Some of my readers have commented on my skill with dialogue and portrayals of characters within my fanfics. If you doubt me, check my old account TheEpicTales and read some the reviews left behind. The other thing I do pretty well is punctuation and grammar. I may have a few spelling errors here and there, but these are far and few in between and are usually fixed as soon as I notice them.

When reading other writers' fanfiction, I can perhaps be a bit analytical, but I try to balance each criticism with a positive comment. And as I stated above, I occasionally make minor spelling errors (typically the result of entering the wrong key), but I try to correct them as I find them.

My primary fanbases are Sonic, Legend of Zelda, Five Nights at Freddy's, and a number of animated family features. Regardless of the fanbase I can beta-read, but might be disinclined to proofread it. So the best option is to send me a message first asking if I will beta-read your work and tell me what fanbase it belongs to as well as the genre. I will read a variety of genres from horror to romance, spiritual to parody, and sci-fi to fantasy.

I prefer not to read lemons of the yaoi variety. Yaoi includes slashes and genderbends. That's just "not my cup of tea". Also the closer to the original the fanfiction is the better. High school romances and completely unrelated stories featuring characters from a creative work are usually a snoozefest for me.
