Hey! I'm foreignconcepts. I reside mainly in the Cars fandom, and have for the last 3 years.

If you're anything like me, you might have some hesitations with beta reading. I know I sure did at first. For one, you're giving your story over to a complete stranger to read. What if they like it? What if they HATE it? Not to mention, you're giving away future plot lines, characters, etc. In some ways the thought of giving a story that's close to you over to someone to beta read can be somewhat stressful. (For the record, SevenStar was my first betareader, and she's epically awesome as well).

If I read your story as a beta reader this is my promise to you: I promise to keep your plot lines confidential. Furthermore, I will not steal your plot lines. Same with your characters. I promise to respect your story and it's world as if it is my own.

Grammar, spelling, descriptive imagery, dialogue.

In terms of ratings, I can work with any range of rating. I've had a lot of people come to me with M rated fics, as I have two posted, the first of which was one of the first of it's kind on here. Car love scenes are some of my personal favorites. ;)

I can be a perfectionist when it comes to my own work, and therefore if I see something that's just slapped together that irks me. I like things to be believable, even if these are animated vehicles we're talking about. If I beta read for you and find that this is the case, I'll encourage you to do so or give you pointers on how to tie together some elements of your plot.

Other than that, I won't lie, I can be a lazy ass. I have a horrible habit of reading things on here and not reviewing. Therefore if I'm beta reading for you, I will try and get feedback to you on your story as quickly as possible, but sometimes fanfiction does fall off of my plate for whatever reason. If you need something urgently, or are curious for any feedback so far, feel free to send me a PM and I will get on the situation. Unless I really am truly busy, it's usually a matter of coralling me and getting me to sit down and read things.

I've read many many Cars fics over the years and my personal favorites are the love stories, although I can appreciate pretty much any type of story, even slash. As mentioned above, ratings are not an issue. Lemony goodness is welcome!

I'm not much of a fan of humanized Cars stories, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I wouldn't read them at all. I haven't really come across anything else that's truly repulsed me, so I don't have anything else that I can put down here...
