I have written a handful of Harry Potter fics, the majority of which are romance. I try to incorporate humor into every fic regardless of the overall tone, I feel that it adds to the strength of the piece. If you are all for pure angst, I am not for you. As a reader I will most likely read over your story once from a reader's point of view, then on the second time through I will look for language use, structural problems, and any spelling and grammar that your computer may have missed. (Please remember to run your fic through spell check before sending it to me!) I am not readily available 24/7, however when I do commit to beta-reading a fic I will do my best to get it edited within a few days. I am happy to make suggestions about improving the plot or the style overall, if that is infringing on your creative license, please let me know and I will stick to the details.

Story structure, tense, character development and literary form are my strengths. I am better with the wider areas of writing. If you need help forming ideas for plot, or with creating dialogue I am happy to lend a hand.

I am not as good with tiny grammar and spelling mistakes. I often read the way I write and look over small mistakes. However I hope with a critical eye, I can pay closer attention to the more detailed aspects of writing.

Preferably Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, Myths (particularly Greek mythology), Shakespeare. I am open to a variety of other books and movies including Moulin Rouge, LOTR, and Atonement. I am fine with all ratings, but I prefer to work with writers wishing to share their work and improve their writing skills, not shock people with unnecessary smut and foul language. Genre: Romance/Action/Adventure/General Humor is always appreciated, even if the fic is a drama!

NO VAMPIRES! Also, please no threesomes, cross-generational pairings, pederasty, incest or smutty nonsense. Okay, for those of you who are Harry Potter writers, please no Snape/anybody or Hagrid/anybody or Pettigrew/anybody, really it's sickening. Also, please no emo cutting fics, I can handle blood but self-inflicted injury is sappy, gross and ridiculous. I am your Beta, not your therapist.
