I've recently come into a great deal of free time, and as I love to read a wide array of stories, I figured that I'd couple this enjoyment with the chance to help someone out outside of reviews.

I tend to burn through a fic at a fairly rapid pace, especially if it catches my interest, so I can give big picture feedback as well as focus on specifics if that's your wish. This also means that I can give fairly prompt feedback, although I shy away from schedules. I won't shy away from telling you what I think needs work, but I will never be condescending or insulting, and all my feedback will be constructive.

If you'd like me to beta a story, it would be much appreciated if basic things like an automated spell check were used beforehand. Also, it would be nice to have a brief outline of anything that you want looked at in particular, but if you just want to run it by me for a general opinion that's cool.

Dialogue: Character interaction is important, and I feel that once I have a good grasp of a character, I'm able to give voice to their thoughts, motivations, etc. I enjoy writing realistic, clever dialogue that flows well.

Idea generation: For every good idea that I am determined to write I have a long word doc full of ideas, characters, plot points, and random minutiae that I might use. I can build entire worlds in my head and write them down. It's just getting those ideas arranged into a story that's the problem...

I'm a quintessential grammar im-perfectionist, but it's good enough to catch major errors.

As a writer I'm fairly minimalist, and like getting the point across without dragging it out too long. Not so much a weakness, but I might have trouble if you're looking to make your story or chapter longer.

I love stories of epic proportion, but I'll go for pretty much anything. I love good original characters!
