Also if there are no plot-holes, continuity or canon errors, I probably won't question it if I can't tell where the story can and/or will go. You're the author after all. No one knows the story better than you.

Stories where an OC is a relative of a canon character.

Stories that have none of the canon cast in them for more than a heartbeat also get a cautious side-eye.
