I am 27 years old and I love reading stories. I am a huge stickler for grammar and spelling and punctuation. My beta style is that I will read it all the way through and correct spelling, grammar and punctuation as I go, then once I'm done reading the chapter, I'll read it over again to make sure the plot is moving along smoothly. I will change the font color to blue for the parts that don't flow well and at the top of the chapter, explain what I think works and doesn't work. I don't like rewriting paragraphs or altering the story line for you, because this is your story from your imagination. I will however, like I said, change the font color to blue, then give my suggestions about how you should go about changing it to make it work better and flow better. Since it is your story, you can take my suggestions as a grain of salt, but I will give my advice and you can either use it or let it inspire you to something you might not have thought of, or leave it as is. My main concern is grammar, punctuation, spelling, flow of dialogue and to determine if it makes sense to the reader. Which can include historical accuracy, if the information in your story matches up with the movie/tv show (unless it's AU) and to determine if your cannon characters are in character or OOC. I will look at the plot line but ultimately that is yours to have the final It will usually take me about a week or less, depending on my schedule, to finish beta'ing the chapter. Also it depends on the length of the chapter. If it will take longer I will email to let you know.

Grammar and proper punctuation are my pet peeves. When I'm reading a story, if there are too many grammar and spelling mistakes it ruins the flow of the story for me. As a Beta, I will correct the grammar and spelling.

If English is your first language, and have taken English classes (which I suspect everybody in the USA and England has in high school), you should have some idea about how to write in proper English. I'm not trying to be mean, and I understand that sometimes there are exceptions, like if you are dyslexic or something of that nature, but please proof-read your work and use the spell checker before you send it to me. I know sometimes the spell checker doesn't catch everything, but that is what Beta readers are for.

If English is your second language, do the best you can, and I will help correct anything that needs to be corrected so it makes sense to native English speakers. Also please proof-read and use the spell checker before you send it to me. I will change everything I fix to red so that you can see what needed changed and learn from your mistakes so you can improve on your English.

You can send me the file in .doc or .txt or .rtf I have Microsoft Office and Word Pad. I have a Microsoft Surface Tablet with Windows 8, so if you have an apple, it would be best if you had a compatible writing program to save us both some headaches. You can either use the available file sharing program here on or you can email me the chapters you want me to beta. Either way is fine with me, whatever you are most comfortable with.

I'm very good at catching misspelled words, grammatical errors and I'm a sort of history fanatic so I can help in regards to historical accuracy.

It might take me a while to get through the chapter, so it might slow down the speed in which you update your story. But I do try to get it back to you in a reasonable amount of time.

Pirates of the Caribbean and Once Upon a Time in Mexico... or any Johnny Depp movie. I also love the TV show Moonlight so I would not mind Beta'ing for Moonlight Fics. In regards to pairings for Moonlight, I'm cool with anything (except the ship I list in 'not my cup of tea').

I also love Twilight. I'm very much on Team Edward and I do prefer cannon ships for Twilight. I'm okay with Renesmee/OC ships as I'm not such a huge fan of Jacob, but I am fine with Renesmee/Jacob stories too. Also, I'm okay with Bella/Jasper, Bella/Alice, Bella/Emmett, etc (non-cannon) as long as they are just platonic friendship stories.

My favorite ships are as follows:

Once Upon a Time in Mexico: Sands/OFC

POTC: Captain Jack/OC, Willabeth, Norrington/OC

Moonlight: MickBeth, Josef/OC, Josef/Sarah. I'm okay with Mick/Josef in regards to a Sire/Fledgling/friendship relationship but no sex with the two of them. I'm totally okay with anything that has to deal with Mick's second turning (as long as they don't have sex... I'm okay with the sexual tension in the air and the sensual nature of turnings tho).

Twilight: Bella/Edward, Alice/Jasper, Rosalie/Emmett, Carlisle/Esme, Renesmee/OC, Renesmee/Jacob and like I said, I'm okay with non-cannon friendship stories (ie Bella and Jasper having a day alone together and becoming better friends).

I also do not mind 'self-inserts' or girl from the future falling into the story. I also love the freaky friday inspired body swapping.

I Also would love to beta for Avatar (the blue aliens, not Airbender). My favorite pairing is Jake/Natyri, T'sutey/OFC

I'm now getting into Ironman, Thor and The Avengers (movieverse) fics. I love Tony/Pepper parings. Loki/Darcy pairings and Thor/Jane Pairings. I also enjoy Clintasha/BlackHawk pairings, Captain America/OFC, Bruce/OFC

I do not like Sands/El stories... it just seems... wrong to to me... And that's nothing against gay pairings it's just the characters don't seem like they would EVER do that together. lol.

I don't like Sparrabeth really, I'll read a Sparrabeth occasionally, but for the most part I will ignore them. Depending on the plot line, I may or may not beta a Sparrabeth story. I don't really like the POTC characters are transported into the Future or real world.

For Moonlight, the only ship I have issue with Beth/Josef only because that just seems way too OOC IMHO. I'm okay with Beth/Josef friendship stories, but not with the pair of them romantically

For Twilight, Any romantic non-cannon sort of irritates me, so no slash Twilight fics. And I hate All Human (AH) Twilight stories... I like Edward as a vampire... Vampires are part of what makes Twilight what it is.

For Ironman, I'm not really into Tony paired with any male character... As I said above, I don't have anything against gay pairings, it's just not my cup of tea... As a straight woman, I can't really identify with it. When I read a story, I like to put myself in the the lead female love interest's shoes... I can't do that if it's two guys. For Thor, I really do not like Thor/Loki. They're brothers even if it is not biological so just... ew. lol. With the Avengers I don't like the M/M pairings... I'm cool with Hawkeye/Black Widow, but any other pairing between the Avengers is just not my thing.

Also, regardless if it's a POTC, OUATIM, Twilight or Moonlight fic, I really don't like songfics... they kind of annoy me. lol. MPREG is also something I will not beta for... that's just... too weird. lol.

Basically, I'm not into slash fics, MPREG, OMEGAVerse, Superfamily, Science Boyfriends (but Science Bros as in friends is okay), etc.
