Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm an avid Torchwood, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Stargate SG-1, and High School Musical reader. My reading style is to read through it objectively, trying to find grammar errors or missing wrods/punctuation, then read through it to make sure it all scans properly and the characters are at least mostly in character. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm really hard nosed about punctuation and spelling, and keeping the characters in character, unless the story is meant to be crack-tastic fluff. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
people getting overly mushy, I have trouble editing mushy scenes, but if they affect me, then they must be fairly decent |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I like slash, but will read just about anything if it sounds intriguing enough. |
