I am a very flexible beta reader. I can take all pairings M/M; M/F; F/F and all characters (even original characters), it does not even matter if I hate the pairing or character.

The only thing I do ask of those who are wanting me to beta for them is that they have a chapter almost finished. I have gotten people that want me to beta paragraph by paragraph and that is really hard to do. It makes the paragraphs before hard to understand and I am often unable to follow the flow. I can happily help you decide a path to take, but I can't read and correct paragraph by paragraph.

As for how I beta I read over the chapter about 3-4 times each time looking at a different aspect. And when I find a problem I bold and red it next to the error. I leave it up to the writer since it is their baby. I do not get mad if the writer asks extra questions or if they do not want to make the changes. Each person is their own, and my suggestions are just that suggestions. I do not kick people away for that. I usually take a week, though it may be a little longer if work and life get me busy. Also I do email if it's going to take longer then a week.

I'm really good at helping people who have English as a second language. I can pick out the correct word that you were hoping to find while writing. I can also pick up at on plot holes or scenes that seem to have jumped too far ahead without any reason to it. I can also pick at scenes or words that just do not make sense while being read.

If I know the show/character I am able to tell you when a character becomes too OOC.

I can usually find the correct spelling of a word and am able to correct it easily. I'm not the best of the best with spelling but I can find the correct form of the word.

My weaknesses would be trying to find a more colorful vocabulary for stories. I'm good at writing it and checking it but I tend to have it fail me when I'm beta'ing. Also I tend to lack at the whole advanced grammar (grammar Nazi) type of checking. I can take care of the easier grammar errors but some rules do still fail me.

As stated above I am good with all pairings and characters. I can take M/M, M/F or even F/F. I have not found anything that has squicked me, though there are some topics I rather stay away from. But I am usually really laid back when I beta.

I really have not turned away anyone just because of what they have written. I prefer that I beta the fandoms I know, just because I can pick out errors easier and I can catch when a character becomes out of character. However if the writer is in a bind I will check those out of my fandom.

So honestly I really do not see anything that I would turn away from. Though those that I am not familiar with the fandom I may ask for the writer to find someone who knows it better then me for the actual fandom check of it.
