My main focus as a betareader would be the actual story; the plot, the characters and how it all comes together. I could assist through brainstorming as I believe myself to be quite creative and thoughtful when it comes to stories. I am quite interested in diversity and would love to assist in derverifying your story. I do also have a few stories of my own half-planned in my head, but alas I do not have the time to write them, which is another way betareading would also help me, as I could lend my ideas to a writer and we could work on them together. If you want me as your betareader, but the genre/fandom you're writing isn't on my list of accepted genres/fandoms, feel free to send me a personal message and ask if I'd do your story anyway (I might just have forgotten to put the genre/fandom there).

I am quite creative and should be able to help you with coming up with new and exciting twists to the story, or further developing characters, places or the general plot. I read much and varied material so I should be able to bring up new and interesting problems for you. I'm also older than many writers here (I'm 19 going on 20 to be exact), so I should be able to offer more life experience than some here.

Though I am older than soem here, I am still rather young. In addition I'm Norwegian, so English is not my first language. Still, I am fluent and I should be able to assist with at least the most basic grammar.

I don't necessarily have too much of a preference, though I do love stories that bring something new to the table. I have a weakness for submit your original character stories as I love getting to know new characters with new points of view, and I could quite enjoy assisting on such stories. Alternate universes are also something I enjoy reading myself, in part because it allows more freedom to play with the characters and setting. Lately I've also fallen in love with retellings of fairytales (blame Once Upon a Time) and I would love to put all my ideas for known or lesser known fairytale characters to good use.

Crime stories is not necessarily my cup of tea, so I would shy away from someone writing a murder mystery. On the other hand I do find myself fascinated by killers such as Hannibal Lecter so I would make exceptions if the characters are good.
