I’m willing to put in as much time as you need, and no nuance is too small to ask my opinion about. I’m not a beta who will just read, annotate, and send your story back. I’ll want to have a conversation about it in the broader context of what you want to accomplish as an artist, even if you just want to make few people laugh. I’m also a firm believer that getting to know you as a person will help me feel out your point of view and enrich the editing process overall, so please feel free to chat me up, even if you don’t have a story in the works, or are suffering from writer's block.

I would say I have a good eye for characterization and character interaction. I’ve repeatedly helped one of my friends make her OCs less Sue-ish. I'm great with plot progression, even though I’m incapable of writing a full-length story of my own. I can also help with research and general ground-up development. I excel at chapter and story outlines. I have a relatively large vocabulary, so I can also help with repetitious and questionable WC. I’m a naturally detail-oriented person, which means that if I really like the fandom I’ll have an obsessive knowledge of the series, movie, book, or what have you.

I’m can be a bit brutal in my honesty. It's something I'm trying to work on, but if you're a writer that needs a lot of cheerleading, I'm not the beta for you. I'll also argue with you if I strongly feel that something needs to be cut of changed.

As a writer, I struggle with flow and finishing the damn story in the first place, but that doesn't bleed into my beta services.

I don't really have any specific preferences when it comes to genres or pairings. I do love experimental pieces.

I don't like to read any form of incest, even if it's canon. I hate mpeg, kid!fic, and RPF. I'm pretty intolerant of Mary Sues, badly written cliches, terrible grammar, and excessively purple prose. All other parings and story types are welcome.
