As a beta reader I pay attention to the plot of the story, to character development within, and to how each piece of a prospective story fits the overall idea that the author seeks. I focus on technical aspects such as spelling and grammar as well as literary aspects such as point of view, description, and movement of the story along the plot. You'll find I will read and return betas within a few days to a week of receiving them unless there is a time crunch, and I do all my editing and modification using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word for the sake of ease of use. Anyone wishing to use my services should be aware of the following:

1) I expect timeliness and I give it in return.
2) Respect is a mutual thing and it is earned, not given. I respect those who have earned my respect. If you want me to respect you, respect me.
3) All I offer are suggestions - it is your choice to accept them or not.
4) I am very intellectual and will seek discourse on the story as well as it's various aspects and the character aspects.

As a betareader I feel that my greatest strengths are in looking at the story on the whole and helping flesh out a proper feel to it. I am very good with plots and plot twists.

My weakness is in exposition and description - I can walk in a line from A to B but not describe that line or journey as well as I would like.

I prefer stories in fandoms I am familiar with (if you are not sure, ask), and with plots that I can understand and work with. Great with action/adventure, good with romance, can handle most anything in between.

Yaoi is definitely not my cup of tea.
