The site's not saving formatting correctly. ** If you're looking for someone to check over grammar or spelling mistakes, then I'm probably the beta-reader for you! I'm good with spelling and punctuation, and my grammar is pretty decent. I think I also have a much higher threshold on acceptable mistakes, as long as the story/plot looks interesting to me. That said, if you have a ton of terrible spelling mistakes and grammatical errors then the finished piece is probably going to look more like my writing style than yours. If that's not a problem you have, then we'll work great together. Plot-wise, I'm generally a pretty close reader and pick up on most of the important details. I can help with the direction you want to take, or I can let you do your thing. It's up to you. If I see any inconsistencies, I'll point them out and let you decide what to do with it. I'd say I work very quickly - if you send something to me and I agree to work on it, I can probably have them beta'd about as quickly as you can write them, at least with my current schedule (very open). I'll update this if that changes. I'd prefer to use GoogleDocs, since their comment function is pretty easy to use. I'll leave comments on things like the plot, stylistic choices, and sentence structures. But if it's just something like a misspelled word, I'm going to fix it directly in the document and not bother to leave a comment. Even if you don't see your fandom listed, feel free to PM me if you just want someone to help you with proofreading. I'll work with you as long as the story piques my interest, or even pick up the series/book as a result!

Spelling, grammar, punctuation. I'm good with details/keeping the plot consistent. Flexible - I'll change my approach based on what you're looking for - whether it's hands-on, proofreading only, being nicer, being meaner, etc etc.

I'm not very inclined to make drastic changes or rewrites, or deviate significantly from what you've written, unless you specifically ask for it. That might be a good thing for some people, but it also leaves open the chance that there are huge potential improvements that I don't see. I think I am the type that lets people get away with Mary Sues/Gary Stus. I also tend to not be great at keeping things from being OOC, especially if it's a character I am fond of. I'm not very good with song lyrics or poetry - if they're in the story it's fine, but I tend to gloss over them/won't be able to help you incorporate it very well. I may not be *incredibly* familiar with the fandom (ie, casual reader/read it a long time ago), but if you're just looking for a proofreader then we'll be fine :)

Anything in my listed fandoms is fine. I'm a big sucker for romance and angst :) Yaoi/Yuri/smut/violence/swearing is all fine

Tragedies - feel free to PM me anyways, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to be sad all the time. Stories that feature a character just getting traumatized/completely destroyed/hated on. Noncon/BDSM - not really into it. If it has to happen for plot progression then fine, but if the entire story centers around rape then I'm not really interested, sorry. Mpreg - I dunno, I'm just not. Shotacon/Lolicon - yeah, not my cup of tea. Gender switching - ehh, I'm ambivalent. If your fic's really good I'll still give it a shot.
