When I read a story as a beta reader, I always come back with key points that can drastically improve the read-ability of the story. I feel that one of the biggest keys to writing is to make a story easy to read. After that, creativity and the general style of the story is taken into consideration. I also believe that writing is all about constructive criticism, we write so others can read it and we have to expect them to criticize it. A writer has to be able to handle all forms of constructive criticism.

I am very strong with spelling and grammar, using literary elements that are key to writing (foreshadowing, etc.) I am also strong with painting a picture using words. I feel that I can describe just about anything with only a few select words. I am also pretty good at capturing the personality traits of characters in their speech. Remember, a thesaurus is your best friend.

I have a tendency to fall into traps that most authors do in fanfiction. I will be the first to admit that I have written many Mary Sues (some y'all call 'em Betty Sues), and I have a tendency to fall into using short sentences that start with the word "I" ("I jumped to the platform then charged up the stairs. I lowered my shoulder, braced myself and smashed into the door.") I have to actively think about my writing sometimes in order to avoid that. I'm not sure, read my works, and I'm sure you'll find some weaknesses there that I haven't thought of.

I prefer action stories. Drama, action, science fiction, adventure, any of those really.

I am not into romance stories. I mean, don't get me wrong, most stories have to contain the element of romance to keep them interesting, but stories that are centered directly around that are not my cup of tea, and I get bored reading them.
