So, a Beta Profile... so you'll probably want to know that I have a degree in English Literature, with a focus in Young Adult and Children's Lit. Specifically on cultural connections to literature, not so much on writing. I wrote my two senior research papers (150 pages each) on "The Resurgence of Young Adult Literature based on the Popularity of the Harry Potter series by J.k. Rowling," and "Comic Books as a literary form." All of which means I have an education that does me no good in the real world. br /br /

Anyway, when I read something I look for ease of read, consistency, and legibility. So I check spelling, grammar, and sentence structure, but I also look for consistency in the tense and point of view, I look for good descriptive language but also that the whole piece isn't bogged down in unnecessary specifics. I make sure that each sentence makes sense, both by in context and as a stand alone article. br /br /

I also look for character voices, making sure that not all the characters sound the same but have distinct speech pattern, phrasing, and personality. br /br /

Lastly, I am going to be very honest. I believe heavily that honest feedback is the only way to grow. Please be aware before you send me something that I will not sugarcoat anything I say. I will tell you what is great about your piece but I will also tell you what is terrible and needs work, what doesn't make sense, and what is just plain stupid. So be prepared.

Character development, dialogue, and consistency are my strengths.

Grammar and spelling are not my strong points. I will get most mistakes but the tiniest grammatical errors are not really my thing.

Things I know about is the easiest. Teen Wolf, Harry Potter, Divergent, True Blood, Game of Throne, Supernatural, Smallville, and lots of others. I am willing to read any kind of fanfiction I just may not know the world as well as someone else.
