As a reader of fiction in general, in the forefront of my mind was and always will be the story. Complex plots, interesting character arcs, and twists that were built up but still felt out of left-field: that was what I found most important in books that I read. As an editor (beta) and writer, that's still what is important to me. Grammar and spelling were nuisances for me, but if the story was engaging enough I could easily ignore them. I'm not the fastest beta reader. I used to be pretty quick, but I also wasn't very busy. Now I require about two weeks to get everything done, and even more going into holiday seasons such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. br /

My strengths come from what I'm most passionate about: stories. Asking for my services is asking for my honest opinion about the story, characters, and settings that you've presented me with. If it's boring, too fast, too slow, confusing I will say so. It it's good, I will say so too. I'm also pretty good with wording and spelling.

Punctuation and grammar I'd say aren't my strong suits. I'm afraid that the schools in Oregon were below par when it comes to teaching grammar; frankly I had to learn what a semi-colon was on my own. If your trouble is with grammar, than maybe we were schoolmates together.

I have no true preference. I like general and I like romance. I like hetero and homo. I like violence and I like fluff. The only that matters to me is that it's enjoyable, but definitions for enjoyable came be hard to come by. A smile on my face is a pretty good sign I'm enjoying something, but you're reading words not my lips.

I can pretty much handle it all, but I have a really love-hate relationship with arranged marriage plots. You have to do them a certain way for me to read them, and sometimes my way isn't canon so it's probably best those aren't handed off to me.
