As your Beta I will be your second set of eyes, third and fourth even if you want. I have excellent attention to detail and a strong grasp of American English grammar and style.I love descriptive text that shows more than tells. I'm all about instruction and helping you become a better writer. I won't just correct your mistakes and send your document back I'll highlight or underline and add my notes/suggestions in the margins or between paragraphs. I want you to see the difference between your text and mine so that you can understand the mistake or why i suggest changing something and hopefully learn from it. Also I love research, if you need a fact checker for something historical or something from American culture (assuming your not american), then I'm your girl. I also love to talk fic so if you have an idea that you need help developing or want to bounce ideas off someone hit me up!

I think my best writing comes out in character development, dialogue and highly descriptive narration (especially for sex scenes, i've read ALOT of smut). As I said earlier my focus as a beta is helping you to be a better writer. I'm big on format, one of my biggest peeves when reading dialogue is when the writer doesn't start a new line/paragraph for a new line of dialogue and it isn't clear who is speaking. I have a tun of plot bunnies hopping around inside my head so if you need help developing plot i LOVE LOVE LOVE talking fic!

I'm a perfectionist and tend to have high standards for myself and others. No offense but if you are eager to write something to begin with then you should give it your all. I honestly want to help you become a better writer and will always strive to keep my comments constructive, but sometimes the truth hurts. I assume if your even considering a Beta your already open to criticism. I don't tolerate laziness so if you expect me to do the work for you forget it. Even google docs has a spelling/grammar check if you don't have a word processor like Microsoft Word or w/e the Mac version is.. If you give me something that is so full of mistakes that its unreadable I will give it back to you and tell you to to put it through spell check. HOWEVER, if English is your second language let me know up front, I don't mind beta reading for ESL. Also let me know what your mother tongue is, as it will help me understand and correct your mistakes.

I love a good romance, especially with some angst. I also enjoy AU stories, I have nothing against original characters, I think they enhance the story by providing new challenges for cannon characters. AUs that take place in different eras or historical fics are very interesting. There is not really a lot that I won't read except for whats listed below. As for fandoms, its a pretty broad range. If i'm familiar with the source ill be glad to help. I love Merlin, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, anything Marvel or DC - Comics, TV and Movies.

I don't like male/male no offense if that is your thing it just isn't mine so please respect that. If story has a gay minor character or a gay couple that is not the main characters that's ok. I just prefer not to read about a developing romance or sex between to male characters. Also not a fan of /

If its a Merlin story that ships Arthur and Gwen with other people i probably wouldn't get very into it, if it's something where they date other people but eventually wind up together that's cool, I can handle that, but I just can't envision them ending up with others. /

Once again, no lazy bums, there are plenty of free word processing programs and they all have spell checker. Google Docs is one of them and you dont even have to download anything.
