I prefer to not simply have a chapter sent to me, read it through and send it back with the necessary corrections, not to say that won't be a thing I'll do, but I prefer to discuss the corrections. I personally have noticed that some back-and-forth discussion is, at least for me personally, a lot more helpful than some clinical »describe mores» slotted into the text.

I think I'm pretty much an all around critter. I can be a living spell checker, I'll point out awkward sentence structures, unnecessary adjectives, where you hurry through your description so the reader's mental image of the surroundings is left too vague, characterisation, word choices, I'll be a wall to bounce ideas off, someone to brainstorm with.

English isn't my first language, but as far as I know I have a pretty good handle of it.

I can more or less beta for any story that is about a world I know something about, sometimes even worlds I'm not so familiar with. I will list here the works I'm familiar with: Harry Potter, Twilight series, The Host, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, several mangas and western pseudomangas, The Incredibles, Hunger Games, Chronicles of Narnia, Prometheus... Actually this list is way too long maybe y'all should just ask if I'm familiar with the world of the work you'd like to me to beta.

I must say that if your story is shippy, there are certain types of ships I like. Mostly either girl/girl ships like Ginny/Luna and Violet Parr/Mirage or beloved enemy-type ships like Draco/Hermione or Syndrome/Violet Parr, human/nonhuman humanoid ships like human/ork, human/Engineer, human/Predator... The list goes on.

I don't think I have anything that'd make me offhandedly turn down a request just because of a certain pairing or something. So I guess we'll just have to see, don't we? ;D
