Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am currently a student following the suite of becoming a fictional writer. I have already passed the general English courses required and now pursue the more personal Creative Writing classes. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I study particularly in the points of character development as well as Plot. Story shall define what sort of person the character "should be" through his/her thoughts and emotions, but it is the Plot that shall define who the character "really is" through his actions and involvement with the situation he/she is /br /br /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / My specialty regards the involvement of the antagonist. I have studied incredulously about the "Rules of Villainy" and have mastered this tactic. A villain is to be loved and hated and I can hammer the imperfections out of any villain. Thus, as I know what it means to have an ideal villain can I apply the same rules of a hero. What is a villain without a hero of equal value? |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I love to upset my readers. My stories would be magnificent if I stopped throwing in twists that would make them want to throw their computers out the window. It always pleases me (mostly to make me laugh) to have them so infuriated. That is my weakness. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
As many would have guessed, I specialized in the everlasting battle between good and evil. Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Science Fiction. Not fantasy, like knights fighting dragons or superheroes flying through the skies Science Fiction. Science Fiction as in aliens, and spaceships, and other "sciency" things. I've worked with Fantasy and NonFiction my entire life. The only thing in regards to Science Fiction I've ever paid attention to were the Star Wars movies. But I didn't understand the intergalactic stuff behind it. |
