I obviously expect whoever I beta to have re-read and fixed up all the mistakes they can see, I mostly see myself as someone who can go through and fix up other small mistakes. Of course, if one is working on a big project then I don't expect you to have re-read your work (I know that's how I usually let mistakes through) so that is also where I come in! I don't mind if there are a lot of mistakes, honestly, its just that if I have to start doing a lot of fixing I start wondering if what I'm re-wording, re-doing et cetera is what the original author wanted at all... Does that make much sense?

I mostly pick up on spelling, the correct use of words and grammar. I can sometimes help with Italian too, if it is needed.

Seeing as how I've never beta-ed before, I'm not sure what areas I could let people down in. Maybe if one needs help with plot development or restructuring sentences I rarely simply help, I either go head first and really enthusiastic before realising that that is not always appreciated and then not helping... And if anyone uses American spelling as well, I may be prone to changing it to the English one...

I would definitely prefer to beta stories I would actually want to read... That also includes what relationships are involved... I'm sorry, but I can be a bit biased that way. Of course, I will help if it is needed and asked for, but I may not do as well a job than if it is something I would prefer to do.

Um... I would probably be very uncomfortable doing M rated scenes, but again, if it is asked of me I will help fix it up et cetera. Also, if I'm asked to help with a story based on something I've never heard of I probably won't be any good... I'd do my research, but still may not be up to scratch!
