Unless asked to be otherwise, I'll be pretty harsh on the proofreading side (spelling, grammar, etc.), and pretty hands-off on the plot side. If I feel that I know your characters well enough, I'll try and help develop them, if that's what you're looking for. Basically, if you tell me directly what you want from me as your beta, I'll do just that (or tell you that I can't, as the case may be). Otherwise, I'll probably flounder around wondering if I'm helping you or hurting your feelings... so, yeah. Be straightforward, and I'll help you as best I can!

I've always been a stickler for correct spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation... all that good stuff. Blame my parents: they're both newspaper editor types. So if you're having trouble with the mechanics, I'm a pretty safe bet to catch those issues and correct them.br /br /

I also like to think that I have a winning sense of humor (I tend towards the sarcastic), so if you're looking to liven up your story with a bit of somewhat irreverent fun, I'd love to help.

Thought I've written several fanfics myself at this point, I'm still not 100% confident in my ability to write creatively. For that reason, I'm probably not the most dependable person if you're looking for assistance in the plot department. I have enough trouble figuring out where my own stories are going, and I probably won't have that many good ideas for you... You can always ask, of course, but that wouldn't be my main function as your beta.

I'm mostly good with everything as long as I feel familiar with the characters you're working with. My stories are all Harry Potter (because I'm boring), but if you check my profile you can see some of the other books/shows I am acquainted with, and I'd be totally willing to work on fics for any of those.

I'm more comfortable with prose than poetry. Verse is excellent to read, but I'm not sure how well I'd be able to beta for you, because A. I know very little about modern poetry (sonnets and limericks I can help you with), and B. I don't want to cramp your style.
