As a beta reader, I prefer to work with material that starts out at least somewhat decent and has a possibility of getting a lot better. That means that I like to beta GOOD fanfiction, thank you very much. I also very much prefer characters who are in character, although well-written crack fics have potential. I don't mind sexual content, yaoi, or het, although I have to admit that I do get a little creeped out by explicit yuri, being a straight female myself. Language and violence don't bother me either.

As for my actual beta reading style, I'm happy to do complete grammar/spelling/punctuation workthroughs, as well as reconstruction of any sentences or paragraphs that could do with fixing. I don't do so well with offering tips with regards to plots and characters, since I like to let people write their own story without relying on my input. I can offer feedback on what I like about the chapter and what I think could do with improvement.

Being a sophomore in high school, I unfortunately have a somewhat limited schedule. This means that if I don't think I have enough time to go through a chapter, I will let you know so that you can find other options.

I am quite the avid writer, and my grammar/spelling skills have only gotten better over the years. I also tend to do most of the revising and polishing on any collaboration projects I do for school; this involves reworking sentences, moving things around to make the structure of a paragraph flow better, and improving word choice.

I don't do plot tips or character ideas. I beta read other people's stories, not something that is partially my own idea. Also, I can be a procrastinator at times.

I'll only beta read for fandoms I have experience with. These include Final Fantasy 7, Harry Potter, Death Note, Hetalia, Fruits Basket, The Ranger's Apprentice, and probably a number of others I can't think of at the moment. Basically, tell me what the fandom is and I'll let you know if I'm familiar with it or not.

Story-wise, I like romance, action, a healthy mix of romance AND action, humor, angst, fluff, sex, etc. Yaoi is much preferred over any other kind of pairing, although I'll do het if I like the pairing.

Yuri. 'Nuff said.
